The Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, launched on January 28, 2023, aims to enhance the socio-economic status of women in the state. The scheme focuses on promoting economic independence, improving health and nutrition, and encouraging active participation of women in family decision-making.
Objectives of the Scheme:

Economic Empowerment: Provide financial assistance to women to promote economic self-reliance.

Financial Assistance Provided:
Eligible women receive a monthly financial aid of ₹1,000, amounting to ₹12,000 annually. This assistance is directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Eligibility Criteria:
To avail the benefits of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, applicants must meet the following conditions:

Residency: Must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.

Marital Status: Applicable to married, widowed, divorced, or abandoned women.

Age Limit: Women aged between 23 and 60 years are eligible.

Family Income: The annual family income should be less than ₹2.5 lakh.
Application Process:
Interested and eligible women can apply for the scheme by obtaining and submitting the application forms through designated channels as specified by the Madhya Pradesh government. The application process may involve submitting necessary documents to verify eligibility, such as proof of residence, age, marital status, and income.
Additional Initiatives:
Building upon the success of this scheme, the Madhya Pradesh government introduced the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana on September 17, 2023. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance of ₹2 lakh to eligible women beneficiaries for the construction of their own houses, targeting those currently residing in kutcha houses.
